This is a remix of an original song that I released last year, on my b'earthday on the 22022022 album, called “I Will Make It”. The original was kinda like if Bobby McFerrin made a dance track, since I did the main verses, adlibs, the background vocals on the hook/chorus, the bass line, and even the rhythm guitar riff all just with my voice. There initially was a completely different demo version of this that I never released to the public that only my Backstage Access Pass subscribers got a copy of ahmedsirour.com/the-backstage-access-pass (by the way, if you join at the minimum of just $5/month you get access to selected back-catalog music well as automatically get access to everything that I release as it drops, and usually in advance just before it goes public, and even unreleased B.A.P. exclusive content like demos, secret tracks, and rare performances 😉).
The reason why I chose to make a remix of this particular song was because the positive lyrics of it came back to my mind and that happens when I’m in need of motivation, and songs with inspirational words do tend to help me through things right when I need them the most, and this time the words were my own. And I call this version the “Healing House Music remix” as I gave this song a more harmonic and melodic arrangement, including some sounds near the end that are purposely soothing to ease the mind & soul, but still keeping a driving soulful house beat to keep you moving on the dance floor, whether that be in the club or a room in your home or wherever you happen to listen to it.
lyrics
VERSE 1
Sun's about to rise,
Light to my eyes,
It's another day but I pray I don't
Bring yesterday with me
Cuz today will be
A new start, a new page
A new opportunity
Do I have enough?
(Yeah)
Can I handle it?
(Yeah)
If anything blocks my path can I kick it?
(Yes, you can)
Understand that the plan
Ain't concrete
I stay on my feet
(1-2, 1-2, 1-2, 1-2-1)
Step at a time
When I'm low, gotta climb
From the bottom to the top
of the hole that the powers-that-be
Dug for me
(Dig?)
The game is rigged but I got this
You get this
Now don't miss the point
Of the joint, that I'm saying
I just receive and I truly believe
HOOK
I will make it (x8)
I...
Come on!
VERSE 2
Life is hard, I can't deny
How many tears have you shed when you cry?
How many days have you been feeling
Low, low, low, low, low, low, low?
I mean, you know
Work, love, family you're feelin' stressed
And even when you wear a smile you feel depressed
You're grateful, not hateful, your plate's full
And every day feels like a big mess
Oh yes!
Life is hard, I understand
And things really don't always go to plan
(Maaan)
But don't let go
(No)
Don't lose hope
(Nope)
I know you will be okay
(Hey)
I need you to believe
(Yeah)
I need you to see
(Yeah)
The Universe is aligning for you
So now please, repeat after me
HOOK
I will make it (x8)
I...
VERSE 3
Switch it up
I got the cup
Spilling with blessings cuz I know wassup
Check out these scars
(Cars?)
No, check out my scars that mark how I've come far
(Bars)
I am a star, like in the Universe
Like we all are
Celestially
Collectively
We have infinite possibility
(See?)
Now that was funny, switch it back
The main point is there's nothing that we lack
(Look)
Don't be shook, don't fear
You will endure
Rewrite ya book
And victory will be yours!
(Yes)
It sounds easy with a beat
And maybe easier to accept defeat
But don't stop, don't give up
And don't you dare retreat
Just know that you're a winner
And play this on repeat that
HOOK
I will make it (x8)
We will make it! (x8)
We...
OUTRO
Just breathe, just breathe
Just breathe, just focus, just believe
Just believe you're gonna make it, just believe
It's not over
Don't give up, don't give in
Just believe, just focus, just believe
Just breathe, just focus, just believe
Just breathe, just focus, just believe
You're gonna make it
Just breathe, just focus, just believe!
