In the time that I've been a producer/artist, I've had many people over the years ask me if I "make beats", or even want to "sell beats" to me. It got to the point that I wondered what is music, nowadays, when it's all about the "beat" but not the music. You see, whenever anyone asked me "do you make beats?" my response was always "yes, and I make the music to go with it". I wasn't trying to be funny, necessarily, but I just felt that I needed to specify how much I love the art that I create and that it's not all just samples and buttons, even though I occasionally use samples to build on top of with my own organic musical additions.

In this fourth volume of instrumentals, I wanted to explore "the beat" but also give equal measure to the music and bridge the gap between loops and samples and melodic/harmonic elements, actual instrumental solos, and flowing between Hip Hop, Soul, Funk, Electronic, Classical, African and basically experiment with sound and get heads nodding in the process.

Oh, as pre-bonus/non-instrumental addition to this collection, the final track features a collection of some of my mini remix ideas that were just quick flips and even unfinished rough drafts that I felt might as well make the light of day so that some of you let me know what you think and probably get on my case until I finish one or some of them lol And, as always, I leave you all with a hidden bonus, though some of you may already have heard but just don't have as yet.
